Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the definitions set forth in this section govern the construction of this chapter.
- (a) “Adult basic education” is education in communication and computational skills to and including the 12th grade level, including English as a second language and citizenship.
- (b) “Classes for adults” are classes without a college grade level designation organized primarily for persons 18 years of age or older.
- (c) “Course approval” is the process of approval by either the State Department of Education or the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges.
- (d) “Mutual agreement” means an agreement between two or more governing boards of districts.
