Cal. Code Regs. tit. 9, § 31230 – Decision to Accept or Reject and Material Benefit Determination.

(a) (Reserved).
(b) Determinations of material benefit will be based on the following:
1. (1) A person will be materially benefited by diagnostic services when the reasons why the person displays delinquent behavior are unclear and the Department has the necessary resources to provide a diagnostic evaluation and disposition recommendation to the court, or;
2. (2) A person will be materially benefited by treatment services when they meet the standards described in Section 31321 of these regulations.
