1. (a) Planning of a diving operation shall include considerations of the safety and health aspects of the following:

   1. (1) Diving mode;
   2. (2) Surface and underwater conditions and hazards;
   3. (3) Breathing gas supply;
   4. (4) Thermal protection;
   5. (5) Diving equipment;
   6. (6) Dive team assignments;
   7. (7) Residual inert gas status of dive team members;
   8. (8) Decompression schedules and altitude corrections;
   9. (9) Emergency procedures.
