1. (a) Portable fire extinguishment and control equipment shall be provided in such quantities and types as are needed for the special hazards of operation and storage. See Article 157.
2. (b) Water shall be available in volume and at adequate pressure to supply water hose streams, foam-producing equipment, automatic sprinklers or water spray systems as the need is indicated by the special hazards of operation, dispensing and storage.

3. (c) All plant fire protection facilities shall be installed and maintained in accordance with the provisions of Group 27.

   Note: An approved fire alarm system is recommended for prompt notification of fire. Where service is available, it is recommended that a public fire alarm box be located nearby. It may be advisable to connect the plant system with the public system. (Title 24, T8-5548)
