- (a) Selection of replacement wire rope shall be in accordance with the recommendations of the crane manufacturer or a qualified person.
- (b) Wire rope shall be compatible with the safe functioning of the equipment.
- (c) Rotation resistant ropes. Rotation resistant ropes shall not be used for boom hoist reeving, except where the requirements of the crane manufacturer state otherwise.
- (d) End terminations on wire rope shall be installed in accordance with the termination or rope manufacturer's specification.
