1. (a) Paralleling Switches.

   1. (1) Two or more feeders which can be operated in a parallel shall be provided with a suitable switch(es) to isolate each feeder from all other feeders.
   2. (2) The switch(es) intended to make and break parallel shall conform to Article 20 or 21.

   3. (3) Operation of paralleling switches shall be restricted to qualified and authorized persons only. A written switching procedure shall be made available to and followed by such personnel.

A switch meeting the requirements of these regulations shall be installed on the source end of each feeder or branch circuit.
