1. (a) Identification of manufacturer and ratings. Electric equipment shall not be used unless the following markings have been placed on the equipment:

   1. (1) The manufacturer's name, trademark, or other descriptive marking by which the organization responsible for the product may be identified; and
   2. (2) Other markings giving voltage, current, wattage, or other ratings as necessary.
2. (b) Durability. The marking shall be of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved.
3. (c) All switches, circuit breakers, and other control devices shall be located or marked to indicate clearly the equipment controlled by them.
