1. (a) All locomotives and other self-powered rail transportation equipment shall be equipped with lights capable of illuminating the track in the direction of travel.
2. (b) Ends of trains shall be equipped with lights or reflectors.
3. (c) Concrete cars shall be equipped with flashing or rotating amber lights which are visible from the front and rear.

4. (d) All locomotives shall be provided with a flashing or rotating blue light which shall be visible from the front and rear.

   Exception: The above requirements for lighting equipment do not apply where they are in conflict with the operation of Gassy or Extrahazardous tunnels.
