1. (a) All trees and snags which appear to be dangerous to any operation shall be felled. If hand falling presents extreme hazards, other methods shall be used.
2. (b) Snags shall be carefully checked for dangerous bark in preparation for falling. Accessible loose bark shall be removed before falling.
3. (c) Whenever trees or snags are equipment-felled, they should be pulled by a line or pushed by a boom of sufficient length to keep the equipment in the clear, unless the equipment is specifically designed for this purpose.
