Grants and Work Study Awards.

- (a) Grants may be awarded in an amount not to exceed a student's unmet need for the academic year. Notwithstanding any local policies to the contrary, no community college district, college, or NextUp program may enforce any restrictions on where students may spend NextUp grant funds awarded under this section.
- (b) Work study awards shall not exceed a student's unmet need for the academic year. Contracts with private industry may be utilized to place NextUp work study students.
- (c) No combination of NextUp grant and work study awards may exceed the amount of a student's unmet need in an academic year.
