- (a) Each institution, or the entity acting on its behalf, shall report persistence data consisting of the total number of students who have continued in, or persisted in, their education by enrolling in and completing at least one course at the institution during the academic year following initial enrollment. Persistence data shall consist of data reported by each of the following student characteristics: gender, ethnicity, Pell Grant status, first generation status, transfer status, adult learner status, student parent status, foster youth status, and eligibility used of state financial aid received, including Cal Grant A, Cal Grant B, Cal Grant C, Cal Grant Access Awards, and Middle Class Scholarship, to the extent data is available. Adult learner is defined as students who were aged 25 or older at initial enrollment.
