1. (a) For members not subject to the Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013, both of the following apply:

   1. (1) The versions of Articles 2 to 4, inclusive, and Section 27602 of Article 5 of this chapter in effect on January 1, 2015, and as amended October 1, 2017, apply to compensation earned for service performed from January 1, 2015, to June 30, 2027.
   2. (2) The versions of Sections 27600 and 27601 in effect on January 1, 2015, and as amended October 1, 2017, apply until June 30, 2027, regardless of the date service was performed.

2. (b) For all members, both of the following apply:

   1. (1) Amendments to Articles 1.5 to 4, inclusive, and Section 27602 of Article 5 of this chapter in effect on July 1, 2027, apply to compensation earned for service performed on and after that date.
   2. (2) Amendments to Sections 27600 and 27601 in effect on July 1, 2027, apply on and after that date, regardless of the date service was performed.
