1. (a) As used in this article, “Notice of Election” means the document adopted by the board announcing the election to be held for the three members of the board who are elected by active members of the Defined Benefit Program and active participants in the Cash Balance Benefit Program pursuant to Education Code section 22200. The Notice of Election shall contain the following:

   1. (1) Candidate nomination and election guidelines;
   2. (2) Eligibility criteria for candidates and voters as defined by paragraph (5) of subdivision (a) of Education Code section 22200;
   3. (3) The minimum number of valid signatures required for nomination as a candidate;
   4. (4) Information on how to obtain a candidate nomination packet from the system; and
   5. (5) Schedule of election events and due dates.
2. (b) The election coordinator shall distribute a Notice of Election adopted by the board in advance of each election.
