Cal. Code Regs. tit. 5, § 15562 – Meals Eligible for Reimbursement.

(a) Federal and/or state reimbursement may be claimed for:
1. (1) Lunches which meet requirements of section 15558.
2. (2) Breakfasts which meet requirements of section 15559.
(b) Federal and state reimbursements may be claimed for substitutions made, due to medical reasons, for any food components required by sections 15558 and 15559, provided that such substitutions are recommended by a Registered Dietitian or authorized by a State of California licensed physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner, in writing, and such authorizations are on file at the school.
