1. (a) Be at least 16 years of age except, a student with exceptional needs, including, but not limited to, financial or motivational needs as determined by the principal or local educational director.

2. (b) Be a full-time student. For the purpose of this section, a full-time student means one of the following:

   1. (1) A student enrolled in continuation/alternative education.
   2. (2) A student enrolled in a regional occupational center or regional occupational program.
   3. (3) A student enrolled in the regular school for the minimum day, excluding cooperative vocational education.
   4. (4) A student enrolled in a summer school approved pursuant to regulations of the State Board.
3. (c) Have parental or guardian approval if under 18 years of age.
4. (d) Be currently enrolled in the approved vocational education course/program.
