1. (a) A timber tare weight is the unladen weight of a vehicle or combination of vehicles, used to transport loads of logs, where an automated weight scaling program is used to determine the board foot volume of the load.
2. (b) Sample scale frequency is the number of loads of logs to be measured by a log scaler at a frequency agreed to by the buyer and seller, e.g., 1 in 4 loads must be measured by a log scaler.
