1. (a) At least ten (10) ounce gloves;
2. (b) If the contestant is in the Novice class, headgear that is approved by the Amateur Boxing Federation or an equivalent organization.
3. (c) Padded shin guards that extend from the ankle or instep to the top of the shin, and a safety boot that covers the toes.

In addition to that equipment required in Section 513 of these regulations, every contestant shall wear all of the following during a contest or match:
