1. (a) The following abbreviations shall be used for the purposes of this Article:

   1. (1) “3 CCR” means Title 3 of the California Code of Regulations.
   2. (2) “21 CFR” means Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
   3. (3) “AAFCO” means Association of American Feed Control Officials.
   4. (4) “AOAC” means Association of Official Agricultural Chemists.
   5. (5) “FDA” means Food and Drug Administration.
   6. (6) “FD&C” means federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
   7. (7) “GRAS” means generally recognized as safe as defined in 21 CFR 570.3(k) and 21 CFR 570.30.
   8. (8) “USDA” means United States Department of Agriculture.
