1. (a) If equipment purchased during the term of the grant has a fair market value of less than $10,000 at the close of a grant agreement, it is no longer considered equipment and is not subject to the requirements governing equipment.
2. (b) If the fair market value is $10,000 or more at the close of the grant agreement, the use, management, and disposition of the equipment is subject to approval by the Department. These requirements apply until the fair market value of the equipment is less than $10,000.

3. (c) A request for disposition of equipment shall be submitted to the Department for approval. The request shall include:

   1. (1) The current fair market value of the equipment.
   2. (2) A description of the proposed disposition.
   3. (3) The signature of an authorized representative.
4. (d) Requests shall be approved or denied, or an alternate disposition offered, by the Department no later than 30 business days from the date the request for disposition is received.
