1. (a) The provisions of this chapter shall apply to manufactured homes, mobilehomes, multi-unit manufactured housing, commercial coaches, truck campers, and floating homes subject to registration with the department.
2. (b) Except as provided in Sections 5610, 5611, 5612, or 5613 the provisions of this chapter shall not apply to manufactured homes, mobilehomes, multi-unit manufactured housing, or commercial coaches installed on foundation systems pursuant to Section 18551 of the Health and Safety Code or a manufactured home, mobilehome, or multi-unit manufactured housing converted to a fixture and improvement to the real property pursuant to Section 18555 of the Health and Safety Code.
