1. (a) When a building component is installed on a lot for the use of the occupants of a unit, the installation of the building component requires that a permit be obtained in accordance with section 1020.3.
2. (b) The requirements for the construction of building components are contained in the California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Division 1, Chapter 3, sections 3020 through 3073, 3081, and 3082.
