1. (a) Alternate approval requirements for this subchapter shall be in accordance with Section 17002 of the Health and Safety Code.
2. (b) When an operator requests an alternate use of any material, appliance, installation, or device, the enforcement agency shall advise and obtain views of the employees on the premises at the time. A synopsis of these views shall be submitted with the request for alternate approval.
