1. (a) Spill containment must be tested for tightness upon installation, and at least once every 12 months by a service technician meeting the requirements of section 2633.
2. (b) Spill containment tests must be conducted using a testing procedure that demonstrates that the spill containment can contain the stored substance until it is detected and cleaned up. These tests must be performed in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines, an applicable method specified in an industry code or engineering standard, or if approved by the Unified Program Agency, a test method developed by a state registered professional engineer.
3. (c) The spill containment volume must be tested to confirm the liquid capacity is no less than five gallons.
4. (d) The results of the spill containment test must be recorded on the “Spill Containment Testing Report Form” located in appendix 6.
