1. (a) Each OTNWS must be equipped with alarm devices to provide warnings of:

   1. (1) Loss of power;
   2. (2) Treatment train failure to meet section 60642; and
   3. (3) Any other incidents for which warning is required by the local jurisdiction to minimize threats to public health resulting from an OTNWS failure.
2. (b) All required alarm devices must be capable of operating independently of the power supply for the OTNWS.
3. (c) The personnel to be warned by an alarm device must be capable of taking prompt corrective actions necessary to prevent delivery of inadequately treated onsite treated nonpotable water to the use area.
