Cal. Code Regs. tit. 22, § 50525 – Public Assistance and General Relief Grants.

(a) Public assistance cash grants shall be exempt.
(b) In addition to public assistance cash grants, the following cash payments from county agencies are exempt:
1. (1) Special circumstances payments provided to SSI/SSP recipients pursuant to EAS regulations.
2. (2) Emergency loans provided to SSI/SSP recipients pursuant to EAS regulations.
3. (3) General Relief or General Assistance payments.
4. (4) Cash value of food stamps.
5. (5) Immediate need payments provided to AFDC recipients pursuant to EAS 40-129.
