1. (a) The applicant may request and receive a renewal of the grant at the same level, a reduced level or a greater level, provided such renewal meets the following conditions:

   1. (1) The grantee has met the terms and conditions of the existing grant.
   2. (2) The grantee submits a proposal which meets the terms and conditions set forth in these regulations.
   3. (3) The Director feels that a renewal of the grant would assist in meeting the primary health care needs of an underserved population.
   4. (4) Funds are available for the program.
2. (b) Such request should be submitted 120 days prior to the date of termination of any contract awarded under the provisions of this subchapter.
