1. (a) Nothing in this chapter shall be considered applicable to bid protests under the Public Contract Code.
2. (b) Whenever a direct service contract is to be awarded based upon a competitive bid and/or the use of a request for proposal, any bidder protesting the award shall proceed under the procedures set forth in Sections 10343 and 10345 of the Public Contract Code.
