1. (a) The AAA shall hold, at a minimum once each fiscal year, a public hearing in the PSA to solicit comments and present information on the development of the Area Plan, plan updates, plan amendments and/or activities carried out under the current Area Plan. The AAA shall:

   1. (1) Schedule and conduct a public hearing in accordance with the following:

      1. (A) Notice of the public hearing shall:

         1. 1. Include all of the following:

            1. a. A description of the proposed action and a statement of the need for the proposed action.
            2. b. The time, date and location of the hearing.

         2. 2. Be both:

            1. a. Published thirty days prior to the date of the public hearing in the local newspaper with the largest circulation in the geographical area affected.
            2. b. Mailed to all service providers under contract with the AAA and units of general purpose local government in the area affected.

      2. (B) The public hearing shall be conducted in a facility which is both:

         1. 1. Centrally located in the geographical area affected.
         2. 2. Accessible to individuals with disabilities.
      3. (C) A representative from the AAA shall be present to receive and record testimony from the public related to the Area Plan or plan update.
   2. (2) The AAA shall review and consider input received and shall maintain a copy of the comments from the public hearing for inspection by the public during the Area Plan period.
