1. (a) Statutory Source. These regulations are adopted by the Civil Rights Council pursuant to sections 12935, 12940, 12943, and 12945 of the Government Code.
2. (b) Statement of Purpose. The purpose of the laws against discrimination and harassment in employment because of sex is to eliminate the means by which individuals, by virtue of their sex, gender identity, or gender expression, are treated differently, paid less, treated adversely based on stereotyping, subjected to conduct of a sexual nature, subjected to hostile work environments, or made to suffer other forms of adverse action, and to guarantee that in the future equal employment benefits will be afforded regardless of the individual's sex.
3. (c) Incorporation of General Regulations. These regulations pertaining to discrimination on the basis of sex incorporate each of the provisions of Articles 1 and 2 of Subchapter 2, unless a provision is specifically excluded or modified.
