A contract with a third-party auditor shall specify that the auditor is to be compensated on a time and materials basis, as a percentage of the amount recovered by the third-party auditor, or in any combination thereof. However, any compensation to a third-party auditor shall not be withheld from any recovery obtained by reason of an unclaimed property examination.
