1. (a) This subsection shall apply to employees paid pursuant to section 599.612(a).

   1. (1) “Month” means a calendar month unless otherwise specified. In the application of Government Code sections 19856.1, 19858.1, 19859, 19861, 19863.1, 19991.7, 19996, 19997.3 and sections 599.737(a), 599.738(a), 599.739(a), 599.740, 599.746(a), 599.747, 599.787(a), and 599.840 of these regulations relating to the earning of sick leave, paid educational leave, vacation allowances, and seniority, month or calendar month shall mean the monthly pay period as prescribed by the Department of Finance.

2. (b) This subsection shall apply to employees paid pursuant to section 599.612(b).
