1. (a) Each regional center shall provide SLS orientation for any regional center staff assigned to SLS-related responsibilities, including, but not limited to, the following:

   1. (1) Regional center policy-making;
   2. (2) Vendoring of SLS providers;
   3. (3) Resource development;
   4. (4) Supervising, evaluating, overseeing, or consulting with SLS vendors; and
   5. (5) Service coordination to SLS consumers.

2. (b) Orientation shall:

   1. (1) Focus on the philosophy, concepts, and practices of SLS; and
   2. (2) Occur within three months following the assumption of SLS-related responsibilities.
