Cal. Code Regs. tit. 17, § 30425 – Limited Permit X-Ray Technician Schools Teaching the Dental Laboratory Category.

(a) Approved limited permit X-ray technician schools teaching the Dental Laboratory category shall require that each student who graduates from the school complete the following educational program within 24 months of beginning the program:
1. (1) One hundred and twenty (120) hours of formal classroom education, extending over a period of no less than six months, which shall include the following:

1. (3) Twenty-five (25) hours of laboratory during which each student shall perform experiments using phantoms that demonstrate:
  1. (A) Methods of reducing dose per exposure to the patient and operator.
  2. (B) Effects of kilovoltage, milliamperage, filtration and distance on radiographic contrast and detail.
  3. (C) Quality control.
2. (4) Supervised clinical education during which each student shall perform or assist in the performance of the following number of radiographic procedures:
