Cal. Code Regs. tit. 17, § 7864 – Water Bottling Plants.

(a) Bottlers shall comply with the following Good Manufacturing Practices:
1. (1) Federal standards relating to Processing and Bottling of Bottled Drinking Water, 21 CFR, Section 129.
2. (2) Federal Standards Relating to Human Foods; Current Good Manufacturing Practice in manufacture, processing, packing or holding, 21 CFR, Section 110.
3. (3) Regulations for Sanitation in Food Plants, 17 CAC 12235-12285.
(b) Prior to bottling, bottled water shall be subject to effective treatment by ozonation, ultraviolet or other treatment approved by the Department.
