Cal. Code Regs. tit. 16, § 811 – Fees.

(a) The fees for applications are as follows:
1. (1) An application for an original license in a single classification is $450.
2. (2) An application for each additional classification applied for in connection with an original license is $150.
3. (3) An application for each additional classification pursuant to Business and Professions Code Section 7059 is $230.
4. (4) An application to replace a responsible managing officer, responsible managing manager, responsible managing member, or responsible managing employee pursuant to Business and Professions Code Section 7068.2 is $230.
5. (5) An application to add personnel, other than a qualifying individual, to an existing license is $125.
6. (6) An application for an asbestos certification examination is $125.
7. (7) An application for a hazardous substance removal or remedial action certification examination is $125.
(b) The fees for scheduling examinations are as follows:
1. (1) Rescheduling an examination for an applicant who has applied for an original license, additional classification, a change of responsible managing officer, responsible managing manager, responsible managing member, or responsible managing employee, or for an asbestos certification or hazardous substance removal certification is $100.
2. (2) Scheduling or rescheduling an examination for a licensee who is required to take the examination as a condition of probation is $100.
(c) The fees for initial license and registration fees are as follows:
1. (1) The initial license fee for an active or inactive license for an individual owner is $200.
2. (2) The initial license fee for an active or inactive license for a partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or joint venture is $350.
3. (3) The registration fee for a home improvement salesperson is $200.
(d) The fees for license and registration renewals are as follows:
1. (1) The renewal fee for an active license for an individual owner is $450.
2. (2) The renewal fee for an inactive license for an individual owner is $300.
3. (3) The renewal fee for an active license for a partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or joint venture is $700.
4. (4) The renewal fee for an inactive license for a partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or joint venture is $500.
5. (5) The renewal fee for a home improvement salesperson registration is $200.
(e) Miscellaneous fees are as follows:
1. (1) The fee to change the business name of a license as it is recorded under Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code is $100.

6. Reinstatement of section as it existed prior to 12-19-2019 emergency amendment by operation of Government Code section 11346.1(f) (Register 2020, No. 44).

7. Redesignation of first paragraph and subsections (1)-(13) as subsections (a)-(a)(13) and amendment of newly designated subsections (a)(7), (a)(8) and (a)(11) refiled 11-10-2020 as an emergency; operative 11-10-2020. Emergency expiration extended 60 days (Executive Order N-40-20) plus an additional 60 days (Executive Order N-66-20) (Register 2020, No. 46). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 6-18-2021 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.

8. Certificate of Compliance as to 11-10-2020 order transmitted to OAL 4-8-2021 and filed 5-20-2021 (Register 2021, No. 21).

9. Change without regulatory effect repealing and adopting new section and amending Note filed 6-12-2024 pursuant to section 100, title 1, California Code of Regulations (Register 2024, No. 24).
