1. (a) For purposes of this article, “licensee” means a private patrol operator or an alarm company operator.
2. (b) For purposes of this article, “guard or registrant” means a uniformed employee of a private patrol operator, an alarm agent of an alarm company operator, and any person employed or compensated by a private patrol operator or any lawful business as a security guard and who, in the course of such employment, carries a deadly weapon.
