1. (a) It is unlawful for any person to engage in the business of mobile automotive repair unless that person has registered as an automotive repair dealer in accordance with this chapter and that registration is currently valid.
2. (b) A person engaged in the business of mobile automotive repair shall hold a unique registration number for each motor vehicle used to perform mobile automotive repair.
3. (c) A person engaged in the business of mobile automotive repair shall display, on each motor vehicle used to perform mobile automotive repair, the same information prescribed in section 3371.2(a). The firm name and registration number shall be in a clearly visible location in print type of at least 72 point font or three-quarters of an inch in height and width.
4. (d) A person engaged in the business of mobile automotive repair shall provide to every customer, with a copy of the work order as required by Section 9884.7(a)(3) of the Business and Professions Code, a copy of the official automotive repair dealer's sign that is worded as specified in § 3351.4(a)(1) and that meets the specifications of § 3351.3(b)(1)-(4).

5. (e) A person engaged in the business of mobile automotive repair is subject to the customer estimate, work order, and invoice requirements of Article 7 and all other provisions of this chapter to the extent they do not conflict with the requirements set forth in this Article.

   1. (1) When performing mobile automotive repair, the automotive repair dealer shall include on the final invoice the street address, city, and zip code, if identifiable, of the location where the repairs were performed if a physical address is available.
   2. (2) If the repairs are performed at a location without a physical address, the automotive repair dealer shall include on the final invoice a description of the location, which may include, but is not limited to, the street and nearest cross-street, a landmark or mile-marker, or freeway on-ramp or off-ramp.
