1. (a) The course in vocational nursing shall consist of not less than 1530 hours or 50 semester units, and may be given on either a full-time or part-time basis. One hour of instruction for purposes of computing the total hours of instruction or for calculating semester units as specified in this section shall consist of not less than 50 minutes of actual class time.
2. (b) The minimum hours required shall be as follows: Theory Hours--576, which shall include a minimum of 54 hours in pharmacology Clinical Hours--954
3. (c) The school week shall not exceed 40 hours per week.
4. (d) School days that consist of class attendance only or a combination of class attendance and clinical experience shall not exceed eight hours in length.
5. (e) Students may be assigned to shifts of up to and including 12-hour length for clinical experience, only.
6. (f) Students may be granted holidays and vacation days equivalent to those granted by community colleges.
