In addition to the standards set forth in USP Chapter 795, a pharmacist performing or supervising the nonsterile compounding and the dispensing pharmacist are responsible for the integrity, strength, quality, and labeled strength of a CNSP until the beyond-use date indicated on the label so long as label instructions for storage and handling are followed after the preparation is dispensed.
