- (a) For purposes of Section 1647.20(b) of the Code, a post-doctoral program in periodontics, a general practice residency or advanced education in a general dentistry post-doctoral program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation that meets the didactic and clinical requirements of Section 1044.3 shall be deemed to be approved by the Board. A dentist must submit a copy of his or her certificate of completion from a Board approved educational program as defined in Section 1044.3 or diploma from a recognized dental residency or post-doctoral program as defined in this section.
