1. (a) “Another sedation permit” means a current permit for deep sedation or general anesthesia, a current moderate sedation permit with pediatric endorsement, or a current permit described in subdivision (a)(2) of Section 1647.31 of the Code.
2. (b) “Outpatient basis” as used in Section 1647.31 of the Code means all settings where pediatric minimal sedation is being provided to dental patients with the exception of a treatment facility that is accredited by the Joint Commission or licensed by the California Department of Public Health as a “general acute care hospital” as defined in subdivision (a) of Section 1250 of the Health and Safety Code.
3. (c) “Pediatric patient” means a patient under 13 years of age.
