1. (a) Persons for whom CALCTRA maintains a record containing personal information have the right to inspect their records, or authorize someone to inspect their records on their behalf, and to request amendment to correct outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete information.

   1. (1) Requests to inspect a record must be submitted in writing to CALCTRA Human Resources.
   2. (2) Requests to amend a record must be submitted in writing to CALCTRA Human Resources and include documentary evidence to support the requested amendment.
2. (b) The denial of a request to amend a record may be appealed in writing to the Deputy Director of the subject employee's reporting chain of command. The Deputy Director's determination can be appealed to the Director, and must include all relevant documentation.
3. (c) If an individual's appeal is denied, they may submit a statement of disagreement to CALCTRA Human Resources for placement in the record. The statement must remain part of the record for as long as the disputed information is retained.
