(a) Fire prevention and suppression.
(4) Staff and incarcerated persons shall be familiar with fire evacuation routes, exits, and procedures. An evacuation drill shall be conducted quarterly on each watch. Where such drill would jeopardize personal safety or facility security, staff shall conduct a walk-through of the procedures. Local operating procedures shall be adopted at each institution to ensure the safe evacuation of incarcerated persons with disabilities.
Institution heads shall maintain procedures for controlling the following safety and security hazards within facilities:
