1. (a) “Department” means the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, which is vested with the authority, duties, powers, purposes, responsibilities and jurisdiction of the former California Integrated Waste Management Board (board).
2. (b) “Board” or “CIWMB” means the California Integrated Waste Management Board, which, as of January 1, 2010, ceased to exist as an agency and became part of (subjoined into) a new Department of Resources Recovery and Recycling (Department).
