1. (a) The maximum amount, including both Grant funds and matching funds, requested for Equipment purchases shall not exceed thirty thousand ($30,000) dollars per Grantee.

2. (b) Equipment acquired solely with funds outside this Grants program.

   1. (1) A use fee may be charged in accordance with the Grantee's local fair market rental rates, but shall never exceed the Grantee's actual cost or a maximum of one hundred and fifty ($150) dollars per piece of Equipment per day, whichever is less.
   2. (2) A “per mile” fee, for the cost of operating Equipment during Project activities, may be charged for a maximum of one hundred and fifty (150) miles per day. Any mileage exceeding the daily 150 mile maximum shall only be charged as match.
   3. (3) A “per mile” fee may be charged, up to one hundred (100) miles in each direction per day, for transporting Equipment to and from the Project site.

3. (c) Equipment acquired with funds from this Grants program.

   1. (1) A use fee may not be charged.
   2. (2) A “per mile” fee for the cost of operating Equipment during Project activities may be charged for a maximum of one hundred and fifty (150) miles per day. Any mileage exceeding the daily 150 mile maximum shall only be charged as match.
   3. (3) A “per mile” fee may be charged, up to one hundred (100) miles in each direction per day, for transporting Equipment to and from the Project site.

4. (d) Heavy Equipment acquired solely with funds outside this Grants program.

   1. (1) A use fee may be charged in accordance with the Grantee's local fair market rental rates, but shall never exceed the Grantee's actual cost; the use fee shall cover the use of the Heavy Equipment and regular maintenance only for Project activities.
   2. (2) Fuel costs may be charged to cover the use of the Heavy Equipment only for Project activities.
   3. (3) Grantee may charge an amount to transport Heavy Equipment to and from the Heavy Equipment's normal storage location to the Project site. The amount shall be based upon the Grantee's local fair market costs for such transportation.

5. (e) Heavy Equipment acquired with funds from this Grants program.

   1. (1) A use fee may not be charged.
   2. (2) Fuel costs may be charged to cover the use of the Heavy Equipment only for Project activities.
   3. (3) Grantee may charge an amount to transport Heavy Equipment to and from the Heavy Equipment's normal storage location to the Project site. The amount shall be based upon the Grantee's local fair market costs for such transportation.

6. (f) Tires, Non-Major Repairs, Regular Maintenance, and Major Repairs for Equipment, Heavy Equipment, and Trailer(s) acquired with funds from this Grants program.

   1. (1) Non-Major Repairs, regular maintenance per manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, and tire replacement shall be conducted by a licensed repair facility or agency personnel possessing comparable qualifications.
   2. (2) Tire replacement may be requested with a written request to the OHMVR Division prior to purchase. In order to justify the need for tires, the written request must include photos showing the condition of the tires needing replacement. The photos must include the tires and the piece of Equipment, Heavy Equipment, or Trailer on which the tires are installed.
   3. (3) Major Repairs may be requested with a written request to the OHMVR Division prior to the repair. The written request must include financial analysis explaining why the repair is more cost-effective than the purchase of a new piece of Equipment, Heavy Equipment, or Trailer. Major Repairs shall be conducted by a licensed repair facility or agency personnel possessing comparable qualifications.
7. (g) The cost of Equipment shall be necessary for the Project and shall not exceed the minimum requirements necessary to successfully accomplish the Project.
8. (h) Any “per mile” fee charged in the Project Cost Estimate shall not exceed the Internal Revenue Service standard mileage business rate provided as of the start of the Grant Cycle for which the cost is being requested.
