1. (a) The Fire Hydrant shall be eighteen (18) inches above the finished surface. Its location in relation to the Road or dRiveway and to the Building(s) or Structure(s) it serves shall comply with California Fire Code, California Code of Regulations title 24, part 9, Chapter 5, and Appendix C.
2. (b) The Fire Hydrant head shall be a two and half (2 1/2) inch National Hose male thread with cap for pressure and gravity flow systems and four and a half (4 1/2) inch for draft systems.
3. (c) Fire Hydrants shall be wet or dry barrel and have suitable freeze or crash protection as required by the Local Jurisdiction.
