Electronic Logging Devices.

- (a) Applicability. Motor carriers and drivers, engaged in interstate and intrastate commerce subject to the requirements of this section, shall comply with the federal Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations adopted by Title 49, CFR, Part 395, Subpart B, hereby incorporated by reference, as those regulations now exist or are hereafter amended. Additionally, a motor carrier shall ensure drivers are trained regarding the proper operation of the ELD.
- (b) Electronic Logging Device, means a device or technology that automatically records a driver's driving time, facilitates the accurate recording of the driver's hours of service, meeting the requirements of Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 395, Subpart B, as those regulations now exist or are hereafter amended.
