Cal. Code Regs. tit. 12, § 483 – Certification.

(a) Certification shall be valid for three years from the date of certification.
(b) In order to obtain certification as a CVSP, applicants shall apply to CalVet in a manner that is set forth in the Procedure Manual, Part I.
(c) The VSP shall be notified of certification, or the denial, by mail, which shall include the validity dates of the certification, or the reason for denial.
