Cal. Code Regs. tit. 12, § 302.3 – Application by Department Employee.

(a) Any eligible veteran CalVet employee may submit a loan application under the following conditions:
1. (1) The employee must meet the same eligibility, credit and property standards as any other veteran applicant.
2. (2) The employee shall not be involved in the processing or approval of the application.
3. (3) The Home Loan Division shall not consummate a loan to a CalVet employee without prior review of the application and sign-off by the CalVet Secretary or designee, which shall occur within fourteen days of the receipt of the employee's application.
