- (a) No person shall produce, promote, sponsor, operate, or otherwise organize a gun show unless that person has a valid gun show producer license.
(b) The Department shall issue a gun show producer license to an applicant who:
- (1) possesses a valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE). Applications for a COE are governed by sections 4032 through 4041 of this title;
- (2) pays the annual fee prescribed by Penal Code section 27200, subdivision (e);
- (3) provides the certification prescribed by Penal Code section 27200, subdivision (b)(1);
- (4) provides proof of liability insurance in an amount of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000) for the duration of all gun shows during the year which the license is issued or renewed; and
- (5) provides a completed Annual Calendar of Gun Shows or Events (Form BOF 106, rev. 07/2025), hereby incorporated by reference. If the information required by Penal Code section 27200, subdivision (b)(3), changes, updated information shall be provided to the Department no later than 30 days before the gun show on Form BOF 106.
- (c) A gun show producer license expires one year from the date of issuance or renewal. A gun show producer license shall be renewed prior to expiration to remain valid. Completed applications for a renewal, containing all of the requirements in subdivision (b), shall be submitted no earlier than 60 days before expiration of the license.
